After the Election: The Landscape of Transgender Rights in Oregon

What do we know, and what can we do to prepare?

Join representatives from Basic Rights Oregon, ACLU of Oregon, and PFLAG Portland for a virtual panel discussion about post-election issues specifically impacting the transgender community in Oregon. Our panelists will be discussing our state’s current protections for LGBTQ+ individuals—with an emphasis on youth—surrounding healthcare, education, and navigating public spaces.

Listen in as we create a foundation of hope, together.

Our Panelists:

  • Eri Andriola (they/them), Litigation Manager, American Civil Liberties Union of Oregon (ACLU-OR) Eri will be discussing legal issues impacting the trans community.

  • Seth Johnstone (he/him), Transgender Justice Program Manager, Basic Rights Oregon (BRO) Seth will be discussing state-level issues and protections for trans people.

  • Dr. Kara Connelly (she/her), Pediatric Endocrinologist and Jess Guerriero (they/them), Pediatric Social Worker Kara and Jess will be discussing issues surrounding gender-affirming healthcare for young people.
