Carlisle Pearson is an Associate Attorney in the Environmental and Natural Resources Practice Group at Ballard Spahr. In addition to his position on the Basic Rights Oregon Board, Carlisle is on the Lewis & Clark Law School Alumni Board of Directors. He is also an active member of Nordic Northwest (a Nordic cultural non-profit), OGALLA (Oregon’s LGBTQ+ Bar Association), the Oregon Attorneys with Disabilities Association, the National Trans Bar Association, and the National LGBT Bar Association.

Carlisle earned his Juris Doctor degree from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2020, graduating cum laude and earning a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law. While earning his JD, Carlisle spent a year working for the U.S. Department of Energy at the Bonneville Power Administration, a year working as a Summer Associate at Lane Powell PC, two years serving on the Lewis & Clark Environmental Law Review, and three years on the board of OutLaw, Lewis & Clark Law School’s LGBTQ+ student organization. In 2016, Carlisle received a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies, a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies, and a Certificate in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.

In his off time, Carlisle enjoys creating art, reading, playing video games, cuddling with his cat, and taking rides in the countryside on his motorcycle with his partner.
