Brook Shelley lives in Oakland, California with her cat, Snorri. A former Portlander, she grew up in Austin, Texas. Brook writes and speaks about trans and queer issues occasionally for The Toast, and had her fiction/non-fiction published in two books. She enthusiastically advocates for better conditions for her fellow trans and/or queer women in tech, and beyond.
